Crypto fill costs and net contribution
A declared same-unit long-position illustration, not a return forecast or order recommendation.
Formula and completed fictional case
For a long position with equal opening and closing quantity q: gross = q × (exit − entry). Entry fee = q × entry × entry-basis-points / 10,000. Exit fee = q × exit × exit-basis-points / 10,000. Net contribution = gross − entry fee − exit fee − net funding paid. A negative funding input is a credit. These inputs are explicit assumed charges, not current exchange tariffs.
The fictional case uses ten SAMPLE at 100 Q, sold at 102 Q, with ten basis points each side and 4 Q funding paid. Gross is 20 Q, fees are 2.02 Q, and contribution after these charges is 13.98 Q. With funding received of 4 Q, enter −4; the corresponding result is 21.98 Q. No capital, collateral, borrowing or subscription allocation is supplied, so neither result is an account-return percentage.
What this calculation excludes
Input prices are fill prices and therefore already include the price movement from execution. Do not subtract the same spread or slippage twice. Partial quantities need separate records; an absent close cannot be replaced with a chart high. Other charges, currency conversions, custody loss and subscription allocation are outside this simplified illustration.
This tool does not calculate inverse contracts, short positions, liquidation, margin, maintenance levels or authoritative contract settlement. It does not connect a venue or verify real fills. A linear derivative still needs its own multiplier and unit conversion before this same-unit arithmetic could be interpreted. Blank fields remain unknown rather than zero.
Inputs stay in the current page. Exports describe declared assumptions, not provider results. Do not enter secrets. Reset clears the record; browser refresh starts empty.
